E-mail Signature Generator

Uni-Tel allows you the ability to easily generate an e-mail signature to allow others to call you by simply clicking on your picture or logo at the bottom of your e-mail. You are also able to create your own text to accompany your e-mail signature.

To create an e-mail signature simply log in to your subscriber account. Click on the "My Profile" tab and then select "Email Signature".

You will then be able to customise your e-mail signature by selcting the text you would like. (Your photo / logo can be added by choosing the "Upload Photo" option in "My Profile")

Then just follow the steps below depending on whether you are using Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express.

How to insert the generated e800 signature using Microsoft Outlook Express

  • First, save the signature as a HTML file on your computer (make sure the file ends in .html and that you remember where you saved the file on your computer).
  • Now you need to tell Outlook Express how to use this new signature file.
  • In Outlook Express, go toTools->Options and then select the Signatures Tab. Click on New to create a new signature and give it a name, like "e800" for example.
  • Now select the option to "use a file as your signature" and click the Browse button.
  • Find the html file you previously saved and click OK.
  • You can now click OK to close the Options screen. If you want to add other information to your signature file using Outlook Express, you will have to know some html and edit the html file you created. Ask a friend to help you out!

How to insert the generated e800 signature using Microsoft Outlook

  • First, save the signature as a HTML file on your computer (make sure the file ends in .html and that you remember where you saved the file on your computer).
  • Now you need to tell Outlook how to import this new signature file.
  • In Outlook , go toView->Options then select the Mail Format tab and click on the Signatures button.
  • Click on New to make a new signature and give this new Outlook signature a name, like "e800" for example.
  • Now select the option to "use this file as a template" and click the Browse button.
  • Find the html file you previously saved and click OK. From the next screen you should see the e800 email signature.
  • Click on OK to save the signature and be sure that the signature you created is associated with your e-mail account back on the Mail Format tab of the Options screen.
  • Also, make sure that Outlook is configured to send HTML-formatted e-mail. This option can also be found on the Mail Format tab of the Options screen.
