How To Use The Web Phone:

Q: What Are The Pre-Requisites For Using Web Phone?
A: You will need the following:

A broadband Internet connection.
A computer equipped with a microphone and speaker/headset.
A web browser that supports JavaScript and ActiveX (such as IE and Netscape).

Q: How Do I Make A Call Using The Web Phone?
A: To make calls using the Web Phone is extremely easy. You log on to the Web Phone page with your browser, enter your unique Buzz number and password and you are ready to make calls.
Q: Do I Have To Pay For The Calls I Make Using The Web Phone?
A: When using the Web Phone to make calls, you only pay a nominal cost for calls made to normal or mobile phone numbers. All calls made to other Buzz subscribers are always free.

Q: Can I Use A Webcam With The Web Phone?
A: Yes you can, video capabilities are available. Just bear in mind that the bandwidth at your disposal while using a webcam with your Soft Phone might have an influence on the picture quality.
Q: Can The Web Phone Generate Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) Tones?
A: Yes. DTMF tones are generated only after a call is connected.
There are two ways to generate the tones:
1. By clicking on the Web Phone's dialpad using your mouse pointer.
2.By pressing on the corresponding keys (0-9, # and *) on the keyboard.

Q: Can I Receive Calls Using The Web Phone?
A: No. The Web Phone is primarily designed for making calls only. We may consider incorporating this feature in the future. If you need to receive incoming calls, we recommend that you download our Buzz Soft Phone, which has more features.
Q: Can I Use The Web Phone To Call A Conventional Or Mobile Number?
A: Yes you can, provided that you have sufficient airtime available on your account. You can make a call from the Web Phone to any normal or mobile phone anywhere in the world.

You will need to dial 007 followed by the country code and destination PSTN number.
For example:
Country code: 65
Destination Number: 12345678
You should dial: 0076512345678
Note: You need to ensure you have enough credit in your account before making a PSTN call.

Installation:

Q: Do I Need To Install Any Software?
A: No, you do not need to install any software. All you need is a web browser that supports ActiveX (and to please enable it). Once you login to the Web Phone page, it will check whether you have installed our lastest ActiveX Control automatically. The ActiveX Control to install (if it does not already exist) is named UAComX.cab. If you are a first-time user, you MUST install this control before you can make any call.

Q: What Is The ActiveX Control Used For?
A: The ActiveX control is designed for the sole purpose of voice communications over the Internet or Voice over IP (VoIP). We assure you that our ActiveX control will not attempt any read/write to your system's registry and local disks.
Q: Which Web Browsers Are Supported?
A: We have tested our Web Phone on the following web browsers:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and above
Netscape 8.0 (with IE engine)
Mozilla Firefox (with IE Tab extension)
