Q: Do I Need To Install Any Software?
A: No, you do not need to install any software. All you need is a web browser that supports ActiveX (and you must please enable it). Once you enter the e800 page, it will check whether you have installed our lastest ActiveX Control automatically. The ActiveX Control that you must install (if it does not already exist) is named UAComX.cab. If you are a first-time user, you MUST install this control before you can make any call.

Q: Which Web Browsers Are Supported?
A:

We have tested our e800 on the following web browsers:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and above
Netscape 8.0 (with IE engine)
Mozilla Firefox (with IE Tab extension)

Q: What Is The Active X Control Used For?
A: The Active X control is designed for the sole purpose of voice communications over the Internet or Voice over IP (VoIP). We assure you that our Active X control will not attempt to read / write to your system's registry and local disks.

Q: Why Do I Get A DAX Error When Downloading The E800 Active X?
A: We have noted that some users do encounter the DAX error when installing the E800 Active X control. This is abnormal as it means that the Active X control is being executed when all the required components are not completely installed yet. If the error persists when using our E800 phone, follow these steps to correct it.

1. Click on My Computer and go to your Windows folder (in our case it's C:\Windows).
2. Double-click on Download Program Files. You will see a list of installed components.
3. Find and right-click on UAComFormX Control and choose remove. If you cannot remove the component, close your browser (we assume IE), start a new browser and return to this page.
4.Repeat this step again to ensure that UAComFormX Control is removed.
5. Click on Start->run, type "CMD" and press enter.
6. In command prompt, type "CD c:\windows\downlo~1" (without quotes) and press enter.
7. Then type "DIR" and press enter to view the content of the directory.
8. Look for any uacomx.oxc or euacom.dll file(s). If they exist, delete them by using "DEL UACOMX.OCX" and / or "DEL EUACOM.DLL" followed by enter.
.9. Close the command prompt window and start your browser.
10. Go to Tools->Internet Options, under temporary Internet Files, click on Delete cookies. Click OK.
11. Go to the E800 webpage and install the Active X control again.
